She's known Kerber nearly her whole life. She remembers a choreographed athletic routine in the s in which his students moved a giant multi-colored parachute to the song "99 Red Balloons. Koczur had climbed from elementary school phys ed teacher, to principal of Pine Hill's then-brand new middle school. He became the district's superintendent in the school year. Kerber has grown up, and works in Pine Hill's administrative offices.

But, she has once again taken athletic direction from Koczur. This time, on a district administration yoga retreat. Yoga "gets me out of my office," said Koczur, who had first dabbled with the practice while recovering from a football injury — a broken ankle. He's done acroyoga with elementary schoolers, supported a middle school mindfulness program, and instituted high school gym class yoga sessions.

Kozcur is a certified yoga instructor with post-retirement plans to continue leading sessions with his Acroyoga company Polacro. He's earned a Ph. D in education, and teaches negotiations in conflict resolution to other superintendents and principals for Delaware Valley University's doctoral program. When it came time for the big retirement announcement, it didn't come as a major surprise to his Pine Hill colleagues, Kerber said. Koczur had been looking forward to his son Marcus' senior year of high school at Lenape Regional.

That was his deadline to retire to enjoy every one of his son's senior-year milestones.
