Card games demon

The object of this game seems simple - to move all cards to 4 foundations. Yet it comes with a twist that the order of cards in the foundations must start with the number of the demon card dealt to the foundations, for example, if a 6 is dealt to the foundations, then each of the foundations must start with a 6.

Cards in the foundations should also be built up by suit, wrapping from K to A if necessary. When the game starts, all cards are downturned and placed on the stock pile at the top left corner.

Then 1 upturned card will be dealt to the discard pile on the right of the stock pile, and 13 cards will be dealt to the reserve pile under the discard pile. Cards may be built on the tableau in a descending sequence of alternating colours, just like in Klondike, e. Tableau columns may also turn the corner from Ace to King, e. A complete packed column may be cleared out by building on top of another, provided the join follows the same rule. As soon as a tableau column is cleared out, it must be filled with the exposed card of The Demon releasing the card below.

However, if there are no cards left in The Demon, then the space may be filled with an exposed card from the waste pile, but not necessarily immediately.

When the stock has been exhausted, the waste pile may be turned over to form a new one. Unlimited re-deals are allowed until the game either comes out or blocks. Those with mobility or processing issues may find themselves at a disadvantage. If your group wishes to level the playing field, try adjusting the size of the claws. Your youngest and oldest players may benefit from a slightly smaller claw, for example. We specialise in creating original family games.
