It worked OK, I think until I've tried - after some modding - uninstalling some graphics mod. Then it started crushing just like now. All reinstallations of the game did not fix it. Now first time Steam Oblivion behaves pretty much the same.

Slysoft's AnyDVD doesn't like it either. It seems to think there's no DVD player at all even though both drives work fine I hope I'm making myself clear on this. It can be one issue interfering with both players same task, using some of the same system resources.
Go to the Event Viewer and look under Applications there will be a error message. DEP is turned on for essential Windows services and programs only.
